I'm not sure there are any RIPS to use with HP printers. With the 9800 you can get good film by adjusting the density and ink options in the print dialog box. I presume you could do the same with the K8600. I get waterproof film from Victory Factory. Cheap, and works good. I use the standard HP inks in my 9800. Using vellum in an inkjet defeats the purpose. Vellum is really only good for spot color work off of a laser printer.
